We met in Alaska at a youth conference when Camille was 14 years old! It really was “love at first sight!” Camille even wrote in her journal the day we met stating that Owen had an amazing smile and mentioned the word marriage! Since we met in Alaska we have a special love for the State. Our favorite flower is the Forget-Me-Not, Alaska's State flower. We started dating when Camille was 18. Owen went on his mission and we wrote each other but Camille didn’t officially “wait”. She dated and no one could compare to Owen. We were married 9 months after Owen got home from his mission and that was close to 9 years ago. We have a very strong love and friendship, and have accomplished a lot of things together. We have worked our way through college, Camille earned her Masters degree in Accounting and is a CPA, and Owen recently graduated from Cornell Medical School where we lived for 4 years in Manhattan, NYC. We just moved to Albuquerque New Mexico where Owen is completing his training as an Orthopedic Surgeon. We miss the city but enjoy the luxuries of life in the suburbs (car, dishwasher, etc!) We are having a lot of fun together and have found the desert to be quite beautiful. Since our marriage we have lived in many different places. Even though our families live in Alaska and Utah it’s interesting how quickly Manhattan and Albuquerque became our home simply because we are home to each other. Wherever the other is, it is truly home.
